Chapter 3Verse 37
Karma Yoga
काम एष क्रोध एष रजोगुणसमुद्भवः। महाशनो महापाप्मा विद्ध्येनमिह वैरिणम्॥
kāma eṣa krodha eṣa rajo-guṇa-samudbhavaḥ, mahāśano mahā-pāpmā viddhy enam iha vairiṇam
Meaning
When something keeps going wrong in your life, it's worth checking what's driving it. Krishna names desire and anger as the usual engine: the wanting that's never satisfied, and the resentment that follows when it's blocked. It's not a comfortable answer, but knowing where the trouble starts is the only way to deal with it.
Unfilled wanting, and the anger when it's blocked. That's the enemy, and it's inside.
